Cheryl Bachelder
Cheryl Bachelder is a passionate, Christian leader-the former CEO of Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen, Inc. From 2007 to 2017, she led the transformation of a tired brand and discouraged organization into a top-performing quick service restaurant chain. The Popeyes story of purpose, excellence, and servant leadership is chronicled in her book Dare to Serve: How to drive superior results by serving others. Cheryl’s earlier career included brand leadership roles at Yum Brands, Domino’s Pizza, RJR Nabisco, The Gillette Company, and Procter & Gamble.
Today, Cheryl’s aim is to encourage and invest in the development of CEOs and boards, helping them to create places where people thrive and perform their best work, in both for-profit and non-profit workplaces.
Cheryl serves as a director and chair of the compensation committee at US Foods Holding Corp (USFD). She is currently the lead independent director at Chick-fil-A, Inc. She serves as an advisor to three Christian ministry boards on the topics of strategy, talent, and succession. She is a mentor to eleven Christian women in c-suite responsibilities through her role in the CEO Forum, an organization that disciples Christian CEOs and senior leaders. Previously, she has been involved with leadership development for CRU’s senior leaders around the world.
Cheryl holds Bachelor and Master of Business Administration degrees from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She is married to Chris Bachelder and they have three grown daughters, two terrific sons-in-law, and five handsome grandsons. Cheryl and Chris reside in Pinehurst, North Carolina. They are fans of the classical education movement, deeply invoiced in the work of Hillsdale College and Sandhills Classical Christian School. They attend Christ Community Church.
Ryan Consie
Ryan Consie holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a M.S. in Global Supply Chain Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage. After serving 20 years with the United States Air Force as a C-130 pilot, flight instructor, and squadron commander, he currently works as a pilot for UPS Airlines. He has served on the board of Covenant Preparatory School and as a deacon at Sandhills Presbyterian Church. He and his wife Crissa have four students currently enrolled in the school and he looks forward to watching all the students grow in Christ’s likeness. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys home improvement projects and the endless quest for a perfect lush, green lawn.
Jamie Encinosa
Jamie Encinosa is the Executive Vice President of Operations for Rhetson Companies located in Moore County. She holds a B.S. degree in Worship and Music Studies and a M.A. degree in Management and Leadership from Liberty University as well as General Contractor licenses in North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. Originally from Maryland, Jamie met her husband Mat while attending Liberty University and moved to Moore County in 2013. Mat serves as Pastor of Worship Ministries at Christ Community Church and they have two children currently enrolled at SCCS.

John Stamas, co-founder of Defender Capital Partners is a graduate of Rutgers College. John has served in several board positions including: Charlotte Symphony, Charlotte Center City Partners, Historic Southend, Brookstone Schools-inner city classical Christian school, and CharlotteOne. John’s athletic experience includes coaching boy’s basketball for Charlotte Latin High School and Olympic High School. Folks most admired are Christ, William Wilberforce, Lincoln, excellent and dedicated teachers, and anyone who can dunk! John is happy to be part of the team helping SCCS reach as many people as possible.
Alan Terry
Alan Terry graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a M.B.A degree in Finance. Originally from Missouri, Alan and his wife Penny moved to the area in 2001. They have two children and three grandchildren and are greatly involved in the community. Alan enjoys staying active with special interests in cycling, golf, and tennis. Alan and Penny attend Christ Community Church where Alan currently serves on the elder board.
