Forging a new and better path in education

Sandhills is a classical and Christian school offering preschool through 12th grade. We are distinctly Christian and intentionally Classical in our teaching methodology.

Welcome to our School

At Sandhills Classical Christian School, we seek to provide a rich and nourishing environment where all may flourish. The spirit of unity on campus is fostered by parents who are actively involved, caring teachers who love their students and enjoy their work, and a student body that is growing in their understanding of Christ and the world they share together. At Sandhills Classical Christian School, we consider  ourselves an extension of the family… a dynamic community of faith!

The Classical Model

A Three-Stage Approach to Learning

The Grammar Stage

Children from Preschool to 5th grade are adept at memorizing large amounts of information.

The Logic Stage

As a child matures from 6th through 8th grade he/she becomes naturally adept at argument.

The Rhetoric Stage

Students in 9th-12th grades hone their skills of asking questions and questioning answers.

Parent Comments

The education our children are receiving at SCCS is the most influential gift we will ever give them. It is cultivating in them the desire to love learning, be spiritually led, and serve the world around them in practical ways.
Sidney and Jenni Abbott
At SCCS there is an underlying aim regarding who students, by God's grace, can become. The mission and vision are clear. Christlikeness, personal responsibility, civic-mindedness, integrity, and respect for others are guiding principles that emerge in various facets of scholarship, sports, music, and school policy. We are firm believers that if people are left to determine their own direction without being guided by objectively good & true standards, they will become unhappy and never reach their God-given potential. Of course, we want great things for our child, so we appreciate the virtues that SCCS lovingly and patiently works to instill in our son and his peers.
Brian and Kim Goard
SCCS has been such a blessing to our family. Each teacher has cared for and shepherded our daughter as if she was their own. The entire culture of the school is so family oriented and supportive. They work tirelessly to raise up Christ-centered, independent thinkers.
