Boy Scout & SCCS Sophomore, Thomas Taylor, is pursuing the rank of Eagle
Scout by way of an ambitious Greenhouse & Garden project. The completed
greenhouse and adjacent raised plant beds & picnic tables, all located on
SCCS property, will be an incredibly valuable educational tool for students
of all ages. This space will allow for hands-on experiments and instruction
in biology, earth science, and of course, the school’s horticulture elective.
Fundraising Goal: $6000
Donations of $250 or greater will receive a special customizable plaque to be placed on a raised bed.
All funds raised in excess of the original goal will be used towards extra garden features & classroom supplies.
Thomas is dedicating his Eagle Scout Project as a memorial to Mr. Todd Zimmerman, former SCCS Head of School.
