Kindergarten

In most cases, similar items are just fine if you can't find the exact item listed below.

  • (2) two-pocket plastic folder (no prongs)
  • Dozen #2 yellow pencils – sharpened
  • Box of 16 crayons (Twistables® are fine)
  • Box of 10 or 12 colored pencils (erasable and/or Twistables® is fine)
  • Small package of THICK washable markers
  • Small pair of rounded scissors (Fiskars® brand)
  • One large soft rubber eraser
  • Economy pack of Elmer's® (or similar) school glue sticks
  • SMALL flip-top plastic school box for supplies
  • Change of clothing with socks and underwear (does not have be uniform)
  • Small backpack or book bag for carrying and traveling to/from school
  • Smock for art (can be an old large shirt or anything that child can easily put over clothes to protect them)

1st Grade

  • 1 pencilbox (no higher than 2 1/2") which is big enough to hold all the following items comfortably and still have some room left:
    • Several #2 pencils, sharpened
    • 1 good,soft eraser ( rectangular,about 2" long) (Unfortunately,many erasers of clever shapes and designs are hard and slick and really don't erase well! I'm not forbidding those, but be sure to get a good eraser too!)
    • 1 box 24 colored pencils, sharpened
    • 1 box 24 crayons
    • 1 small, safe pair of scissors
    • 1 glue stick
  • 1 composition book (marbled, any color)
  • One 1/2" 3-ring binder
  • Two 2-pocket, 3-prong folders ( any colors or designs, but PAPER please, NOT PLASTIC because it is hard for 1st graders to handle the plastic ones)
  • Three 2-pocket folders (no prongs needed, but it's OK if they have them)
  • 1 NIV Bible It is important that we all have exactly the same translation, so be sure it's NIV! Let's not even get NIrV, a slightly easier translation but not as widely available. If you must choose between a cute, compact Bible with very small print and a bulkier book with larger print, go with the larger print please.
  • 1 backpack
  • 1 water bottle, if you like ( some students just use the water bottles straight from the store)
  • 1 box of tissues
  • 1 roll of paper towels
  • Smock for art (can be an old large shirt or anything that child can easily put over clothes to protect them)

2nd Grade

  • A pencil box SMALL enough to fit comfortably inside the desk, containing:
    • 8 #2 pencils sharpened
    • 1 box 24 crayons (NO colored pencils, twistables are fine) 
    • 1 SMALL pair of scissors  
    • 1 large pink eraser
    • 1 glue stick
    • 1 YELLOW highlighter
    • 1 ruler with both inches & centimeters
    • 1 SCCS approved jacket or sweater to be worn in our air-conditioned classroom
  • One 1” three-ring binder with a clear plastic pocket on the outside front & back cover and a pocket on the inside front & inside back cover
  • 7 three-holed plastic colored pocket folders (no rings or brads) Teacher will label them on the first day of school. They will be used for each of the different subject areas. Please supply one each of the following colors: blue; red; green; orange; purple; yellow; One additional plastic folder will be needed in any color not used above
  • 1 composition notebook
  • An NIV Bible to keep in the classroom
  • 1 package dry erase markers (not the thin line) for classroom use
  • 1 package of paper towels
  • 1 box of tissues
  • 1 package of disinfecting wipes 


3rd Grade

  • One 1½ 3 ring binder with inside pockets and clear pocket on front
  • 4 plastic solid colored folders in the following colors and need to be labeled accordingly: 
  • (NO BRADS, they must have holes)
  • Red: Spelling/Grammar
  • Yellow: Reading/Writing
  • Green: History/Science
  • Orange: Bible
  • For Math: Blue plastic pocket folder with inside pockets AND BRADS.
  • One 1-subject wide ruled spiral notebook…may have a “tasteful” design on it.
  • One composition notebook (marbled or with tasteful design) 
  • NIV Bible
  • 1 pencil box small enough to fit in the desk
  • One package of #2 pencils sharpened (may have mechanical pencils with an extra container of lead)
  • 1 small package of pencil top erasers
  • 1 white eraser
  • One 12 pack of colored pencils….sharpened, plus small pencil sharpeners to use to keep them sharp
  • 1 box of crayons (24 count)
  • 1 glue stick
  • 1 small scissors
  • 1 package thick dry erase markers
  • 1 roll paper towels
  • 1 box of tissues
  • 1 container of Lysol wipes 
  • Lunch box and spill proof water bottle with tight lid (that won't “sweat”)
  • Smock for art (can be an old large shirt or anything that child can easily put over clothes to protect them)

4th grade

  • One 1½ 3 ring binder with inside pockets and clear pocket on front
  • Six plastic three ringed solid colored folders (or portfolios) in the following colors labled accordingly:
  • Red - Spelling/Grammar
  • Yellow - Reading/Writing
  • Green - History/Science
  • Orange - Bible
  • Blue - Math
  • (1) folder of your choice, no label
  • (2) heavy duty folders with brads and pockets, any color
  • (3) packages wide-ruled notebook paper
  • (1) composition notebook for journal and commonplace book
  • (1) One subject, wide ruled, spiral notebook
  • (1) Ruler with inch and centimeter markings 
  • NIV Bible
  • One pencil box
  • Two dozen #2 sharpened pencils. May have some mechanical pencils (with one container of extra lead).
  • One small package of pencil top erasers
  • One white eraser
  • One 12 pack of colored pencils….sharpened, plus small pencil sharpeners to use to keep them sharp.

5th Grade

Mrs. Martin will be going over the items and explaining reasons for the specific colors and types of supplies she is asking you to purchase on Back to School Night. Should you purchase any of the materials before then, please save your receipts in case anything needs to be exchanged.

6th Grade

  • 1 dozen pens (blue or black ink only)
  • Highlighter-Yellow (required for math)

  • 1 box colored pencils (at least 12 colors) and sharpener

  • 1 pack of fat/broad dry erase markers (pack of 6)
  • a sock (to erase whiteboard)
